Visitors are welcome to use the University Libraries' collections, branches and facilities during normal hours. Reference assistance and some computer workstations are available to visitors, while some services and workstations are restricted to N.D. faculty, students and staff. Please ask at any service desk if you have questions.

Using Books, Journals and other Materials
All visitors are welcome to use library materials on site. This includes most electronic resources (e-journals, indexes, etc.) as well as print collections.
Electronic ResourcesMany of the electronic resources listed on the University Libraries' website are provided through library paid subscriptions
Most are available to visitors when they are used on site.- Some are restricted to Notre Dame faculty, students and staff by the license agreement.
Those electronic resources which are not subscription based are freely available to the general public.
